QUADROPHENIA departing from the Visitor Information Centre, Bartholomew Square, The Lanes.
A one and a half hour walk following the story of Jimmy and his mod friends through the streets and alleys of Brighton. All the film's locations are visited, with full commentary from tour guide and film fan Glenda. The film, starring Phil Daniels, Leslie Ash, Sting and Toyah Willcox has become a cult classic since it was released in 1979 and is often shown on tv.
Set at the height of the mod culture in 1964, the film focuses on the Mods' and Rockers' Battles which took place in May of that year. The tour contrasts the events portrayed in the film with the real life stories of people who were there. Glenda uses music, stills and dialogue to recreate the film for the people on the tour.
